Run your first project in Mixhaus

Use a real project if you can. By the end of this guide, your client will have one place to hear the current mix, leave feedback, approve it, and download the final files.

Before you start

Have these ready:

• one mix file in MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, OGG, or FLAC format
• the client's name and email address
• any final files you expect to deliver, such as a master, instrumental, or stems

This guide uses a private Single project. Choose Album or EP instead if several tracks belong to the same project.

1. Create the project

1. Open Projects and select Create Project.
2. Enter the project title and choose its type.
3. Keep Privacy set to Private to limit access to you, your collaborators, and the clients you invite through Mixhaus. Public creates a project page that anyone with the link can open without signing in.
4. Choose an existing client. To add one, choose Create new client and enter the contact details.
5. Select Create project.

Mixhaus now keeps the tracks, review history, approval, and delivery record together.

2. Add the first mix

Open the project and select Add Songs. You can choose a file already in your Library or upload a new one.

After the upload finishes, check the track title and version label. Clear names matter here because the client will see the exact version you send.

3. Send the version for review

1. In the project, select the track you want the client to hear.
2. Select Send for review.
3. Check the selected version and recipients.
4. Add a short message that tells the client what to focus on.
5. Select Send for review.

Mixhaus marks the track In review and gives the client access to that version. A later upload does not replace the version already under review.

4. Work through feedback

Client comments stay attached to the version they heard. If the client requests changes, upload the next bounce as a new version of the same track.

Send that new version from the existing project. The review link and earlier discussion stay together, so neither you nor the client has to work out which link is current.

5. Record approval

The designated approver can choose Approve or Request changes in the client review. If the project has no designated approver, any active project contact can make the decision.

Once approved, the project shows the exact version, who approved it, and when they made the decision. Check those details before preparing the delivery.

6. Publish the final delivery

1. Select the approved track in the project.
2. Select Prepare delivery.
3. Check the approved file and add any masters, instrumentals, stems, or artwork the client needs.
4. Set the package name and file order.
5. Add a delivery note, then select Publish delivery.

The client can play or download the files from the same project space. Mixhaus records the published package and its download activity.

Keep the project moving

Mixhaus keeps the version the client heard, their feedback and decision, and the files you delivered in the same project. When another revision is ready, add it to the same track and send it from here. The client keeps the same place to listen, and you keep the full history without rebuilding it from messages and links.
